Intern with us

Each year, we take on a small number of interns to help support our programmatic work.

What to expect

As an intern, you will gain firsthand experience of human rights monitoring, research and advocacy. You will work alongside our staff and help them document rights violations, draft reports, design campaigns, assist with case work, organize events, and mobilize local communities. We also encourage our interns to choose a rights-based theme that interests them and design a research project around it, for which they are welcome to use the library and digital resources available at our offices.

These internships are designed to encourage a spirit of volunteerism and are therefore not paid positions.

Internships last four weeks and are based either at our head office in Lahore or at one of our regional offices, depending on where the applicant lives and our capacity at the time.

Interns follow the same working week and hours as our staff (Monday to Friday from 0900 to 1700). Occasionally, they may be required to work on weekends if an event is being held on a Saturday or Sunday.

We do not encourage remote internships except in special circumstances.
