Mission and vision

A vision of equality, dignity and justice

At the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP), we envision a society where every person—without exception—enjoys the full spectrum of human rights, ensuring dignity, equality, freedom, inclusivity and justice for all. These rights are not just ideals; they are fundamental principles enshrined in international law and Pakistan’s Constitution.

What do we stand for? Simple. A world where no one is denied their rights based on gender, race, age, ethnicity, origin, descent, ability, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, sect, belief, occupation, or socioeconomic status. Human rights belong to everyone, everywhere.

Defending human rights, empowering communities, demanding accountability

HRCP is committed to monitoring, defending and promoting human rights with independence, inclusivity and nonpartisanship. Our mission is to ensure that the most vulnerable and marginalized voices are heard and acknowledged, and that duty bearers as well as perpetrators of discrimination or violence are held accountable.

We work hand in hand with women, children, transgender persons, ethnic and religious minorities, workers, peasants, and survivors of rights violations. Through outreach and action, we strive to create a just and equitable society—one where no one is left behind.
